The working principle of the dry adjuster is similar with that of wire section and press section, all materials use stainless steel.

Pneumatic dry wire automatic adjusters are widely used on high speed paper machines. The sensor is a small baffle installed on the operating side of the dry net. The baffle always contacts with the edge of the dry web. When the dry net deflected, the baffle pushed to the inner or outer side, thereby driving the valve stem of the compressed air control valve, so that the gap between the conical portion on one side of the valve stem and the valve sleeve becomes larger or smaller. To adjustthe air for the actuator, the actuator of the device is equipped with a pneumatic diaphragm. When air leading to the air chamber changes, the pressure balance of the two air chambers is broken, so that the bearing of the correction roll is swung to achieve the purpose of correcting the running of the dry net. The sensitivity of the control valve is regulated by its upper two needle valve. When the dry net is in the correct position, the gap between the cone portion on both sides of the valve stem and the valve sleeve is equal, and the needle valve is rotated to make the air output from both sides equal. Thus, when the air leaking through the gap between the valve sleeve and the cone changes, it is immediately reflected on the actuator, sensitivity is high.
